My Faculty Uplift session is live today

Dear Reader,

My Faculty Uplift session goes live today.

This is the final day of the free summit, so this is your last nudge from me to register if you’ve been meaning to check it out.

My session is about making intentional career decisions when the standard version of academic success no longer feels like the right path.

Or maybe never did.

And to be clear, that doesn’t necessarily mean leaving academia.

It means asking better questions.

Questions such as

  • What kind of security do I actually want?
  • What does meaningful work mean to me now?
  • What am I assuming I’ll lose if I choose a different path?
  • What parts of academic identity do I want to carry forward, and what parts can I put down?
  • What would I want if I didn’t have to prove anything to my discipline, department, advisor, institution, or younger self?

Fun questions!

By which I mean: useful, possibly uncomfortable, and absolutely worth asking.

You can register for free here: The Faculty Uplift.

Each day’s sessions are available free for 48 hours, so today’s sessions should be available through Saturday.

The summit covers wellbeing, mindset, writing, funding, mentoring, team dynamics, and career questions, and the sessions are short, about 20 to 30 minutes each.

There’s also a US$79 VIP Pass if you want longer access to the recordings, transcripts, and three live sessions on Friday, July 17.

If you watch my session (or any of the others!), I’d love to hear what grabs or moves you.

Cheers,

Jen
