University Affairs won 5 Gold in the Business-to-Business category for Best Blog, News Coverage, Video Content, Email Newsletter and Website design. (CNW Group/Canadian Online Publishing Awards (COPA))

I attended the Canadian Online Publishing Awards ceremony last evening in Toronto, with my University Affairs editor Ashleigh VanHouten. The magazine took home 5 gold wins in the blue division (business-to-business), including best blog or column for From PhD to Life!

I don’t know exactly what content the magazine shared when it entered my blog in the competition, but I do know that those entries came from 1 July 2014 and 30 Jun 2015. That means I consider this a shared win with all the Transition Q & A contributors who’s posts were published during that time: Christine Slocum, Bruce Harpham, Andrew Miller, Kelly J. Baker, Melissa Dalgleish, Michael Ryan Hunsaker, Kara Santokie, Daveena Tauber, Nicholas Dion, Viviane Callier, Raj Dhiman, and Tom Westerman. And a big congratulations to Tara Siebarth, with whom I worked until April 2015, and Ashleigh, who took over from her. Yay!

Check out this photo of Ashleigh and me at the ceremony last evening, holding the first four UA wins!
