Self-Employed PhD

Transform Your Business Summer Sessions

Join me for a dynamic blend of focused work blocks, dedicated time for reflection, and shared learning.

These 3-hour virtual co-working sessions are designed to

  • catalyze transformational growth in your business and
  • foster a supportive community of self-employed PhDs and other small business owners.

Dedicate time this summer to visioning, goal-setting, planning, and implementing strategies for success in a space that encourages both personal and professional development. (I’ll be doing this too.)

Use this time and space to do the work of growing and transforming your business, instead of only working in and managing the day-to-day of your business.

Attend once or sign up for all eight sessions — it’s up to you.

Sessions are scheduled for 2-5pm EDT on the following Mondays, summer 2023:

    • 19 June
    • 26 June
    • 10 July
    • 31 July
    • 7 August
    • 14 August
    • 21 August
    • 28 August

The plan — at least for the first session — is to have two hours of solo work time, divided into 40- and 25-minute blocks, with breaks in between them all. You’ll have dedicated time for your own reflections separate from the work blocks and then 20 minutes for group discussion at the end.

What is Self-Employed PhD? A history

I created and hosted Self-Employed PhD, an online community of freelancers, independent consultants, entrepreneurs, and small business owners. Self-Employed PhD ran from November 2016 through early 2020.

Later in 2020 and into 2021 I facilitated regular small group discussions for self-employed PhDs. Those were awesome and I paused them to focus on building and launching my PhD Career Clarity Program.

Now, in June 2023, I’m using the SEPhD banner for a series of new (and free) co-working offerings. I need these as much as anyone and we’ll see how they go!

Here are a couple old SEPhD promo images, just for fun:
