How to Use Zoom for Virtual Meetings

Instructions for beginners on the free plan.

At the start of the global pandemic I started drafting a Zoom Basics document and it saw thousands of readers!

I drafted the bulk of it in mid-March 2020. And then Zoom changed a few things — primarily in response to the enormous growth in their user base and the change in the nature of those users, as well as to tighten up security.

Because these changes were significant, I’ve now (mid-July) updated the doc and it should all be accurate again.

If you’re new to Zoom, will be using it more — especially as a host, or want to make sure you’re taking advantage of all the great features available to free account users, this resource is for you!
